A Mobility Manifesto

All humans are infinite and are created equal. Not all humans have access to high quality transportation.

I don’t believe quality mobility solutions are a human right, although all should have easy access to reliable transportation, in a free market system.

I believe quality transportation can help people’s quality of life and there is a way that transportation can help the most compromised people raise themselves to higher standards of living.

To do this, transportation solutions must be created at an attainable price (without heavy

subsidies) and be created in a way that they can support those who desire a better way of life.

I don’t believe in creating cars, trucks, planes, trains, 2 wheelers, etc. for the elite. Yes, transportation can be aspirational, but it does not need to be unnecessary, complexly sourced, with over-the-top performance, and a myriad of creature comforts.

There are better, simpler ways of sourcing, mining, designing, building, and offering transportation that best moves forward those with greatest need, while helping our earth thrive.

I call all innovators (creatives, engineers, business folks, researchers) to join us and dedicate more time, attention, and resources to help those in need to have better access to high quality transportation that empowers them to move forward and upward.

The future is bright for all of God’s children.

Accelerating life forward one human at a time!

Spencer Chamberlain is an impact-driven entrepreneur and devoted husband of 18 years, living in Metro Detroit, Michigan. A father of two, he leverages over 15 years of experience at Ford, General Motors, and startups to propel transportation companies forward, enhancing human life through innovative products and solutions.

As the founder of Momentum Mobility Group, Spencer drives growth for mobility-focused companies that aim to make a meaningful impact. His projects span North America, Asia, and Africa, including two years in Argentina, where he was inspired by simple living in underserved communities. Over 790 days spent in South America and Asia have allowed him to serve these communities through teaching, research, and product development.

With 12+ years in management at General Motors and Ford, Spencer led teams on innovative projects such as Maven, Cruise Origin, BrightDrop, and Ford Model e low-cost EVs, impacting tens of millions of lives. His early research in rural India helped create a mobility ecosystem for impoverished farmers, providing insights that guide companies today.

Spencer holds 19 patents and 2+ pending in AI and mobility solutions. He is certificated in Design Thinking, Product Innovation, and Leadership.  He fosters team cohesion with empathy and logic, investing significant time and resources in personal growth and inspiring others to reach their potential. He actively volunteers with youth and community groups, teaching fitness, baseball, and faith, and has mentored students at CCS, Utah Valley University, and Springboard.

Spencer is also developing an ultra-low-cost mobility device with AFreeCar for underserved communities, focusing on Mexico, Detroit, and Western Africa, while helping to establish a 501(c)(3) to support communities in Mexico.

In his personal time, he trains for obstacle course races (OCRs) and triathlons, enjoys meditation, journaling, and tabletop games with family and friends, and likely has a few more farm animals than last quarter at his property north of Detroit.

Feel free to ask him about his training for Kokoro Camp, the toughest civilian boot camp.
